Job Requirements
- must pass a drug screening
- ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds
- must have or obtain a valid State of Florida Driver's License Class E or higher within 30 days of hire
- willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical capability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting
- ability to work in various weather conditions including heat, cold, and humidity
- steel-toe or composite-toe shoes required
- must provide proof of education credentials upon application
- ability to follow instructions and read event diagrams
- willingness to report to duty during civil emergencies
- ability to perform light repairs and maintenance tasks
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- proven track record of managing or leading a staff of eight or more
- strong leadership and team-building skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- experience in event technology and facilities management
Job Duties
- supervise and direct daily operations of the Event Tech Division
- set up, operate, and take down lighting, audio, and video systems
- provide technical advice, training, and support on AV equipment
- move and arrange furniture and staging according to event requirements
- conduct daily facility safety checks
- develop goals and objectives for event setup, groundskeeping, and maintenance
- evaluate and train division staff
