Job Description

Gaylord Hotels, a proud member of the Marriott International family, is renowned for its expertise and leadership in creating exceptional meeting spaces and unforgettable experiences. Unlike a traditional hotel, Gaylord Hotels offers a broad range of environments, services, and programming that uniquely bring people together under one roof. Our brand is powered by our STARs – associates who are creative, entrepreneurial, and deeply committed to delivering thoughtful and big-hearted service to every guest. The STARs culture at Gaylord Hotels fosters professional growth, pushing individuals beyond the conventional boundaries of hotel service, and invites them to unlock a world of career opportunities, distinctive benefits, and enriching experiences. At Gaylord, we strive to be where you can do your best work, begin your purpose, belong to a diverse and global team, and become the best version of yourself.

The Event Support Expert role is pivotal in ensuring the flawless execution of a wide variety of events hosted by Gaylord Hotels. This is not merely a job of arranging chairs and tables; it is about crafting an atmosphere that remains memorable and unique for each guest. The Event Support Expert performs a myriad of functions essential to the smooth running of events; from setting up and breaking down various materials and equipment to transporting crucial supplies, stocking bars and action stations, and handling any tasks in between. Flexibility and initiative are key as responsibilities vary with each event. This position demands a hands-on approach with physical activity including standing, walking, and carrying objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and more with help. Additionally, the Event Support Expert must consistently adhere to safety protocols, company policies, uphold the highest standards of quality, and present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Working at Gaylord Hotels means joining a culture that actively values diversity, inclusivity, and the unique backgrounds of every associate. We are dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities and fostering an environment free from discrimination of any kind, whether related to disability, veteran status, or other legally protected bases. The role of Event Support Expert is an excellent opportunity for individuals with less than one year of related work experience seeking to grow their skills within a leading hospitality brand. The job provides an interactive and dynamic work environment where safety, respect, and quality are the cornerstones of daily operations. This entry-level position requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent to ensure foundational education. Our commitment to our associates extends beyond job duties, offering career progression, training, and the chance to be part of a vibrant, innovative team dedicated to exceptional guest experiences.
