The role of Event Staff Supervisor at The Greek Theatre is a vital position within the Event Services department, directly reporting to the Event Manager. This is a seasonal part-time role classified as Hourly/Non-Exempt, offering a competitive hourly wage of $20.20. The Event Staff Supervisor serves as the frontline leader, responsible for supervising and coordinating Guest Services floor staff to ensure excellent customer experiences during events. The position demands strong leadership, vigilant communication, and a proactive approach to managing staff and resolving guest concerns swiftly and professionally.

Key responsibilities include greeting guests with outstanding friendliness, providing venue knowledge and recommendations to enhance the patron's experience, and ensuring all guest service staff are well-trained and guided in their duties. The supervisor is accountable for monitoring uniforms, equipment use, staff positioning, and adherence to company policies, maintaining professionalism and decorum throughout events. In addition, the supervisor must effectively communicate any incidents or escalated customer issues to management and assist the Event Manager in operational tasks as needed.

  • At least one year customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to speak and understand English
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced diverse environment
  • Must be able to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to speak and understand English

  • Must have professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
  • Spanish speaking is a plus

Job Duties

  • Receive all guests with outstanding and friendly customer service
  • Be knowledgeable of the venue and offer suggestions to patrons to enhance the guest experience
  • Effectively train, lead, and supervise the Guest Services staff as assigned
  • Effectively communicate and document escalated customer issues and incidents to Management
  • Assist Event Manager in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conduct uniform checks on every employee every event and report deficiencies
  • Post staff in the positions designated by the Event Manager
