Job Description

Silverdale is a proactive and community-focused organization committed to growth and fostering a strong, vibrant culture through dynamic events and community engagement. As an evangelical, Bible-believing establishment, Silverdale upholds a set of core Christian values that influence its approach to service, community involvement, and organizational goals. It is dedicated to creating environments where people feel welcome, organized, and inspired, all while maintaining high standards of safety and customer care.

The role of Event Staff at Silverdale is pivotal to the success of each occasion hosted on its premises. This position involves hands-on support for events that are designed not only to enhance Silverdale's outreach but also to nurture the culture within its community. Event Staff members play a critical role in setting up venues, managing crowd flow in compliance with safety regulations, and providing outstanding customer service. The position ensures that every detail—from equipment handling to guest interaction—meets the high standards Silverdale strives to maintain.

Event Staff at Silverdale are expected to work under the guidance of the Event Manager, adhering to established event safety standards and helping maintain order and cleanliness. In addition to physical tasks such as unloading and setting up equipment and venues, staff engage directly with event-goers, guiding them, performing usher duties, operating concession stands when necessary, and assisting with ticketing processes.

Beyond logistical responsibilities, staff members are also representatives of Silverdale's spiritual and cultural mission. A strong Christian character, spiritual maturity, and active participation in an evangelical church are essential components of this role. Effective communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage stressful situations with a positive attitude are key traits expected of all candidates.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift and carry substantial weight, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and multitasking. The individual must be detail-oriented, capable of coordinating with volunteers and other team members, and adept at navigating the complexities of event management while upholding the organization's faith-based values. Accountability is directly to the Director of Advancement or Event Manager, ensuring alignment with Silverdale's goals and operational standards.

Overall, the Event Staff position at Silverdale offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing organization that balances community service with strong Christian values in a lively event-driven setting. It provides an engaging role that demands both physical involvement and interpersonal finesse, making it ideal for individuals passionate about service, organization, and faith-based community development.
