ABM is a recognized global leader in facility services and solutions, providing a comprehensive range of services that enhance environments from curbside to rooftop. Established in 1909, ABM has grown to serve over 20,000 clients worldwide, including commercial office buildings, airports, hospitals, universities, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues. With annualized revenue nearing $8 billion and more than 100,000 team members operating across more than 350 offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations, ABM is committed to delivering superior service and innovative solutions that promote cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable spaces. The company prides itself on its values of diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunity, actively supporting veterans and individuals with disabilities through tailored accommodations and comprehensive training programs.
The position of Cleaner at ABM offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking entry-level employment or those returning to the workforce. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and stocking supplies within assigned areas in large entertainment venues such as arenas, sports stadiums, convention centers, and other public spaces. The types of areas cleaned may include restrooms, suites (including VIP or private suites), concourses, and other common areas accessible to guests. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.00, which may vary depending on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market considerations. The cleaner role requires flexibility and a willingness to undertake various cleaning tasks to comply with high standards of hygiene and customer service. Duties encompass cleaning furniture, fixtures, floors, walls, ceilings, and glass partitions using appropriate cleaning agents and tools. The cleaner will also manage waste disposal, including emptying trash receptacles and cleaning hazardous materials such as bodily fluids, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all visitors.
Communication and teamwork are essential components of this role. The cleaner will interact with managers, shift coordinators, coworkers, and clients, maintaining effective communication to report any needed repairs or additions to facility systems. Compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards are critical to ensure both worker and public safety. In addition to cleaning duties, cleaners may be called upon to assist guests with directions and general inquiries, embodying ABM’s commitment to exceptional customer service. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package to support frontline team members, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and access to employee development resources. The company also values military experience, encouraging veterans to apply and offering a supportive environment to leverage skills gained in the armed forces. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and motivated to contribute to a team that values quality cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
