The brand is committed to warm hospitality, exceptional value, and delivering an outstanding guest experience. As part of Marriott International's extensive portfolio, Fairfield represents a commitment to quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction that has made it a preferred choice for travelers around the world.
As a member of the Fairfield by Marriott team, you will embody the Fairfield Guarantee — a promise ensuring every guest leaves the hotel completely satisfied. Employees enjoy a supportive environment that cultivates growth, embraces diversity, and offers career development opportunities within one of the world’s leading hospitality companies. The company fosters a culture where team members feel they belong, can do their best work, and become the best version of themselves within an amazing global team.
The role of Event Planning and Sales Support Coordinator is essential to the property’s success. This position requires verifying on-property event planning and execution, providing sales support to General Managers, and completing key administrative duties to maintain smooth operations. As the main point of contact for guests organizing and attending meetings and events, you will ensure their experience from start to finish is flawless and enjoyable. You will also serve as the liaison between the Group Sales Office and Area Sales teams, facilitating communication and coordination to maximize event success.
An important aspect of this role is updating and maintaining accurate content on Marriott.com for the property's website, which helps to promote the venue and attract potential clients. Additionally, you will support the General Managers in managing administrative tasks, ensuring company policies and procedures are followed diligently, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
This role is well-suited to individuals who are detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and able to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will be responsible for welcoming guests according to company standards, anticipating their service needs, and providing assistance as necessary. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial as you prepare documents, handle inquiries, and maintain positive relationships with guests and team members alike.
Physical requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and handling light lifting tasks. The ability to perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors is expected, reflecting a flexible and team-oriented mindset. Marriott International prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusiveness, ensuring a welcoming workplace for all employees regardless of background or status.
