Job Description
Event Lab is a renowned event design, decor, and destination management company committed to delivering exceptional, memorable experiences for its diverse clientele. Known for its passion for innovation and precision, Event Lab crafts unique events by blending fresh ideas, detailed planning, and intentional design into every project. Their expertise spans personal celebrations such as weddings and social events, as well as large-scale corporate and association gatherings. Operating primarily in the Twin Cities area, Event Lab has built a reputation for high-quality service, client-centric customization, and comprehensive event solutions that transform visions into reality. The company prides itself on its collaborative approach, working closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring each event is a true reflection of their desires and expectations.
The position of Event Specialist at Event Lab is a critical role that integrates event planning, decor rental, and destination management to deliver a broad spectrum of events. This salaried, full-time role, based in Eden Prairie, MN, includes a hybrid work schedule featuring office days, on-site event support predominantly within the Twin Cities, and occasional work-from-home flexibility. The Event Specialist is responsible for managing approximately thirty percent social and wedding events and seventy percent corporate and association events, providing a dynamic and varied work environment. This role requires a professional with a minimum of three years' experience in the events industry, who is skilled in corporate travel event management, vendor and venue sourcing, and sales. Creativity and a keen eye for detail are essential attributes, as the Event Specialist will be designing captivating mood boards, coordinating logistics, managing client interactions, and overseeing the execution of event decor and details to ensure flawless outcomes.
The Event Specialist will engage directly with clients to understand their event requirements and provide tailored proposals that incorporate Event Lab's rental inventory and destination management services. Responsibilities include building comprehensive quotes, budgeting, confirming orders, and managing logistical details such as travel manifests and group transportation. The role demands strong organizational skills to handle coordination tasks including load-in and load-out timings, venue contacts, and communication between all parties involved. Additionally, the Event Specialist serves as a key liaison post-sale, maintaining client relationships and delegating responsibilities to project managers when necessary. A vital aspect of the role is active participation in the event industry through networking and developing relationships that foster business growth. By attending industry events and maintaining a visible presence, the Event Specialist contributes to Event Lab's thriving business ecosystem.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about the intricacies of event planning who possesses the creativity, sales acumen, and logistical prowess required to execute successful events. Candidates with proficiency in event decor, a flair for artistic design, solid organizational talents, and experience with industry tools such as Good Shuffle are highly valued. The position offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $75,000, reflecting the candidate's experience and expertise, along with the opportunity to work in a vibrant, supportive environment that encourages professional growth and creative expression.
