Job Description

The Classic Center, located in Athens, GA, is a premier convention center and event venue known for hosting a diverse range of gatherings, from large-scale conventions and trade shows to intimate community celebrations. Job Requirements

  • At least one year in a similar role such as arena, convention center, stadium, or theater preferred
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed
  • Reliable transportation
  • Physical ability to lift 25-50 lbs, walk extensively, and bend, squat, kneel during shifts
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license and a valid state driver’s license

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year experience in a similar role such as arena, convention center, stadium, or theater
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Strong team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Work alongside other event staff to set up and convert the campus for events
  • Build event layouts based on diagrams and manager instructions including tables, chairs, stages, and tradeshows
  • Prioritize safety in every task, following training and best practices
  • Assist with event preparations, day-of-event needs, and post-event tear-down
  • Keep storage areas clean, organized, and efficient
  • Store tools and equipment properly after use and assist with annual inventory
  • Pitch in on other duties as assigned
