The role of Event Setup Supervisor at Hyatt is a vital position within the Events and Event Services teams. This supervisory role involves overseeing and managing the setup and breakdown of all meeting spaces to ensure they meet the highest standards of presentation and functionality. The Event Setup Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily group details and planning the structure of each event day to guarantee timely and efficient preparation of meeting areas. This position demands close collaboration with various departments to meet client specifications and delight guests consistently.

In this role, the Event Setup Supervisor will interact directly with clients, addressing their setup specifications and ensuring satisfaction with the meeting spaces provided. The supervisor will utilize detailed event schedules to plan and execute room arrangements, working alongside the Events and Event Services teams to align expectations and timelines. The position requires physical stamina to consistently lift moderate weights and maintain standing or motion throughout the shift while ensuring cleanliness in all meeting and back-of-house areas.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand, walk, and be in motion for the duration of the shift
  • Physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight throughout the duration of shift
  • Flexible work availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and attention to detail
  • Prior experience in event setup or hospitality preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Delighting guests on a regular basis and interacting with clients regarding proper setup specifications of meeting spaces
  • Utilizing hotel daily group details to plan out and structure the day ensuring all spaces are setup and presentable to guests and clients
  • Working closely with the Events and Event Services teams to coordinate room sets, daily expectations, and timing
  • Following proper instructions to correctly setup and turn meeting spaces
  • Lifting a moderate amount of weight consistently throughout the day
  • Maintaining proper cleanliness of all meeting spaces and back of house areas
