The Event Setup Supervisor role at Hyatt is a pivotal position responsible for managing the preparation and teardown of all meeting spaces within the hotel. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented leader who ensures that all event venues are set up timely and impeccably to meet the specifications laid out by clients and the events team. The supervisor will coordinate closely with the Events and Event Services departments to plan and execute room setups according to the daily group details, ensuring spaces are both functional and aesthetically pleasing for guests and clients.

In addition to leadership duties, the Event Setup Supervisor directly interacts with clients and guests, delighting and assisting them to ensure their event needs are met with the highest level of service. The role involves physical activity, requiring the lifting of moderate weights during the day and maintaining cleanliness in all meeting rooms and back-of-house areas. Job Requirements

  • Flexible work availability must include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and be in motion for duration of shift
  • Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight throughout duration of shift
  • Detail oriented and able to follow instructions well
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred but not required
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others

Job Duties

  • Delighting guests on a regular basis and interacting with clients regarding proper setup specifications of meeting spaces
  • Utilizing hotel daily group details to plan out and structure the day ensuring all spaces are setup and presentable to guests and clients
  • Working closely with the Events and Event Services teams to coordinate room sets, daily expectations, and timing
  • Following proper instructions to correctly setup and turn meeting spaces
  • Lifting a moderate amount of weight consistently throughout the day
  • Maintaining proper cleanliness of all meeting spaces and back of house areas
