The company is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Event Set Up Cleaner to join its team on a full-time basis, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 10am to 6:30pm. This position offers an hourly rate of $20.20, which may vary depending on the applicant's experience, skills, and geographical location. The role is ideal for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce, with limited experience or education, as ABM provides a comprehensive benefits package and supportive work environment.

As an Event Set Up Cleaner, you will be responsible for performing various cleaning duties to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of assigned facilities. This important role directly impacts the overall appearance and sanitation of the workplace environment, contributing significantly to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors alike. Your daily tasks will include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing floors and surfaces, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are maintained. Additionally, you will be tasked with emptying trash and recycling bins, cleaning windows and mirrors, and properly maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies.

This position also involves assisting with the setup and cleanup of meetings, events, and special projects, including route event setups between San Jose, CA and San Bruno, CA. Setting up tables, chairs, and other items required for events are part of the responsibility. Safety protocols and company guidelines related to cleaning and sanitation must be strictly followed at all times.

  • Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Customer service experience
  • Read and write in English
  • Must have a valid driver license
  • Ability to drive the company vehicle

Job Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and waste in accordance with company policies
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
  • Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor
  • Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed
