Job Description
Pinnacle Live is a premium, in-house audiovisual (AV) and event production company that operates across premier hotels and resorts throughout North America. As a leader in the event technology industry, Pinnacle Live is dedicated to elevating experiences by combining cutting-edge production technology with a deeply human touch. Their commitment to excellence ensures that exceptional service is the standard baseline for every event. Guided by core values of excellence, innovation, and the belief that their people make the difference, they cultivate a work culture that encourages ownership, preparedness, and professional growth. Pinnacle Live proudly stands as an equal opportunity employer, fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace where every team member has the opportunity to thrive.
The role of the Event Services Technician at Pinnacle Live is a specialized position that plays a critical part in the operational execution of events within a hotel or hospitality environment. This role is responsible for assisting with floor operations which include setup and teardown (strike) of audiovisual and event technology systems. The technician’s primary focus is on delivering unmatched customer service while ensuring that all technology solutions run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations. This position requires a blend of technical skills, interpersonal communication, and strong organizational abilities, as the technician will interact directly with guests and clients, provide clear guidance on equipment operation, and maintain ongoing communication to ensure event success.
Key responsibilities include ensuring that all event setups and strikes are completed following company standard operating procedures (SOPs), verifying equipment functionality and security, and maintaining accurate client event information. The technician will also oversee inventory management, including identifying and reporting any lost, stolen, or damaged equipment, and ensuring that all company-occupied areas uphold organizational cleanliness and safety standards. Continual professional development is encouraged to keep technical skills up to date in areas such as audio, video/data, staging, computer operation, and networking.
This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of event production within the hospitality industry. The job requires physical demands such as standing or walking for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and frequent bending and stooping. Pinnacle Live supports the success of its employees by providing generous paid time off, including PTO, holidays, and sick/personal days. Additionally, the company offers a 401k plan with a contribution match, and comprehensive insurance benefits including health, vision, and dental coverage.
Working at Pinnacle Live means being part of a team that not only strives for technical and operational excellence but also values diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. The company commits to creating a welcoming environment that celebrates each team member’s unique contributions and actively promotes mutual respect throughout the workplace. If you are passionate about technology, keen on delivering high-quality service, and desire to grow in a professional and inclusive setting, the Event Services Technician role at Pinnacle Live offers a promising and rewarding career path.
