The role of Event Services Manager within the Social/Weddings market at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa offers an exciting opportunity to shape unforgettable celebrations and social events. This full-time position is integral to the hotel's operations, acting as the crucial link between clients and the property to ensure seamless planning and execution of social groups, weddings, and events. Reporting directly to the Director of Catering and Conference Services, the Event Services Manager is responsible for orchestrating detailed event orders, overseeing group arrangements and diagrams, facilitating tasting and planning meetings, managing onsite coordination during events, and finalizing group billing arrangements. This position demands a proactive, organized, and flexible professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve conflicts gracefully under pressure. The ideal candidate thrives on creating exceptional guest experiences, embracing a positive attitude, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail.   • Delphi experience preferred
  • strong time management and organization skills

  • experience in luxury environment with priority on guest satisfaction
  • flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • willingness to perform additional duties and attend meetings
  • experience within hotel or resort environment preferred

Job Duties

  • distribute detailed event orders and group resumes
  • oversee tasting and event planning meetings with clients
  • manage onsite event coordination during social and wedding events
  • approve final group billing arrangements
  • act as liaison between clients, planners, and vendors
  • attend operational meetings to meet business needs
  • perform other duties as assigned
