Job Description
Hilton New Orleans Riverside stands as a premier hotel in the vibrant city of New Orleans, renowned for being the largest hotel in the area and ranking among the top revenue-generating hotels within the Hilton portfolio. This iconic hotel offers guests a blend of modern amenities and classic Southern charm, catering to both leisure travelers and large-scale business events. With its prime location along the Mississippi River, Hilton New Orleans Riverside is a hub for conferences, weddings, banquets, and various other events, making it a dynamic workplace for hospitality professionals.
The Events team at Hilton New Orleans Riverside is an integral part of the hotel's operations, responsible for orchestrating seamless event experiences that exceed client expectations. The team is currently expanding, seeking an Event Services Manager to join their ranks. This role is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to build a career within hotel events management, offering substantial opportunities for growth and development.
As an Event Services Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the flawless execution of banquet and catering events. Your responsibilities will span supervising multiple departments to guarantee top-tier service delivery, engaging directly with on-site clients and catering teams, and managing the logistical details that contribute to event success. The position demands a professional who is outgoing, a quick thinker, confident, and able to multitask efficiently, all while providing exceptional customer service to both internal teams and external clients.
You will serve as a primary point of contact for clients during their events, addressing inquiries related to group room blocks, food and beverage services, function spaces, and vendor coordination. Monitoring service quality and guest satisfaction is paramount, as is the ability to respond promptly to any issues or special requests that arise. You will also be responsible for preparing reports and conducting analyses related to group activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of service standards and operational efficiency.
Moreover, your leadership skills will be essential as you lead meetings and foster collaboration among departments to achieve collective goals. The role requires flexibility, including working mornings, evenings, and weekends to meet the dynamic needs of event scheduling. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is necessary for administrative tasks and reporting.
The Hilton New Orleans Riverside offers a supportive work environment focused on the wellbeing and development of its team members. Benefits include access to pay through DailyPay, comprehensive health insurance, complimentary meals and parking during shifts, and numerous programs aimed at career advancement and employee recognition. The hotel also promotes a diverse and inclusive culture through its Team Member Resource Groups and robust paid time off policies.
This position is part of Hilton's Catering and Events team, which is eligible for the Short-Term Incentive Plan (SIP), providing quarterly bonuses based on individual and team performance. Joining Hilton New Orleans Riverside means becoming part of a globally recognized brand where your contributions to successful events and guest satisfaction are valued and rewarded. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about hospitality, eager to grow professionally, and committed to delivering memorable event experiences.
