The Event Services Manager role at the Hilton Austin Convention Center represents an excellent entry-level opportunity in the hotel event management sector. This position is ideally suited for candidates with at least one year of hospitality experience, proficient in Microsoft Office, and capable of maintaining a flexible schedule to meet the dynamic demands of the hospitality environment. Knowledge of the hospitality industry and experience with Delphi event management software are highly preferred. As an Event Services Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless execution of banquet and catering events, consistently upholding Hilton's standards of superior guest service and optimized financial outcomes.

In this role, you will oversee and provide direction to various hotel departments to ensure flawless event delivery. Your duties will include serving on-site clients, addressing a broad range of inquiries related to group room reservations, food and beverage offerings, function space usage, vendor coordination, billing processes, and ancillary services. You will actively monitor service quality, guest satisfaction trends, and respond promptly to special requests or issues to maintain a high level of client satisfaction. Beyond event coordination, you will prepare comprehensive reports, analyze group activity data, and participate in team meetings to facilitate communication and continuous improvement. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year hospitality experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Preferred experience in hotel industry
  • Preferred knowledge of Delphi software
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Provide direction and supervision to departments to ensure successful execution of meetings and/or events
  • Serve on-site group and catering clients and respond to questions about the event including group room blocks, food and beverage, the function space, ancillary and vendor services, affiliates/exhibitors and related billing processes
  • Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
  • Respond to guest inquiries and special requests and resolve issues and concerns in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Prepare reports, correspondence and analysis related to group activity
  • Lead, facilitate and participate in meetings, as needed
