Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in banquet or event services management
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varied schedules

Job Qualifications
- Full time management experience in hospitality
- Previous experience as Event Services Manager, Assistant, Captain, or Supervisor preferred
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in general computer knowledge
- Creative, innovative, detail oriented, and organized
- Thorough understanding of all levels of banquet service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service focus
- Demonstrated ability to develop and train staff effectively
Job Duties
- Support and manage the Events Department while working closely with Food and Beverage Director and other hotel departments
- Supervise, empower, lead, coach and motivate the banquet team including captains, food servers, and lead house attendants to achieve exceptional guest service results and associate engagement
- Assist the hotel in reaching top box service scores on Meeting Planner surveys by ensuring thorough communication and understanding with guests and departments through Banquet Event Orders review
- Proactively review staffing and equipment needs
- Ensure coordination and execution of all events with Culinary, Stewarding, Catering/Convention Services, Convention Services floor, and Banquet Beverage teams
- Maintain a high energy, positive, professional appearance
- Develop innovative and creative décor for banquet function space
- Manage short and long term banquet functions in both front and back of house
- Establish highest standards of quality service through effective hiring, training, development, promotion, and continuous reinforcement
- Facilitate administrative tasks such as payroll, reports, forecasts, point of sale procedures, inventory, and budget for food and beverage functions
- Conduct daily walk-throughs in banquet department and all function spaces to ensure compliance with health regulations and company standards
- Develop ideas for special events and holiday functions
