The Event Services Coordinator role at Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings is a dynamic and vital position within the Services Team, focused on supporting the planning and execution of wedding ceremonies and ceremony celebrations. Located in Celebration, Florida, this full-time position is at the heart of a high-volume, fast-paced environment where organization, multitasking, and interpersonal communication are essential skills. The Coordinator actively partners with departments such as Group Reservations, Resort Operations, Catering, Park & Resort Event Operations, Disney Event Group, Encore, Group System Support, Transportation, and Security to orchestrate flawless events.

In this role, the Event Services Coordinator primarily liaises with couples to plan their ceremony events, ensuring that every detail aligns with their vision and budget. Responsibilities include managing banquet event orders, billing, and day-of event duties, which are critical to delivering a seamless and memorable wedding experience. The Coordinator also plays a key role in revenue generation by suggesting enhancement options and maintaining high standards of service professionalism, reflecting Disney's reputation for integrity and excellence.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for outstanding customer service and exhibit strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to efficiently handle multiple priorities. Flexibility in scheduling, computer proficiency, and eagerness to learn evolving software tools are also crucial for success in this role. Additionally, familiarity with Disney event function spaces and internal systems such as Venue Matrix and Lightyear is beneficial but not mandatory.

  • At least 6 months of relevant work experience
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment
  • Willingness to learn new software
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Job Qualifications

  • Passion for delivering outstanding service for couples
  • At least 6 months of work experience in responding to and resolving complicated guest inquiries and issues
  • Knowledge of group markets, catering/banquets, conventions, resorts, rooms, and events
  • Flexibility in scheduling and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Attention to detail and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams
  • Computer proficiency within a Windows environment
  • Eagerness to learn new software applications
  • Preferred proficiency with Venue Matrix and Lightyear systems
  • Knowledge of Walt Disney World event function spaces
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of Walt Disney World Wedding Services
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred associate's degree or higher

Job Duties

  • Handle planning with couples, Execute Banquet Event Orders, Billing, and Day of responsibilities
  • Communicate event needs through detailed and concise Banquet Event Orders
  • Drive revenue by providing couples with enhancement options
  • Timely and accurate completion of assigned projects and administrative activities/tasks
  • Provide accurate data for deposit collection
  • Represent The Walt Disney Company with the highest level of integrity and professionalism
