Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work primarily evening shifts Tuesday through Saturday
- Willingness to perform physical tasks including lifting 50+ pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to supervise student staff
- Willingness to undergo background check
- Compliance with Title IX reporting requirements

Job Duties
- Coordinate and execute daily event setups and breakdowns for conferences, meetings, and special events
- Review event orders and setup requirements prior to each event
- Perform physical duties including lifting, moving, pushing, and pulling furniture and equipment weighing 50+ pounds
- Serve as the on-site event point of contact during assigned shifts
- Ensure all requested client services are delivered on time and in accordance with HUC standards
- Function occasionally as the on-site audiovisual technician by operating and supporting sound, projection, and presentation systems
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise approximately eight OPS/student event setup staff members
- Assign tasks, provide clear instructions, and monitor performance during event setups
- Support the development of student staff through coaching and enforcement of policies
- Ensure maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of event furnishings and equipment
- Conduct inventories and report damaged or missing items
- Set up, operate, break down, and store audiovisual equipment
- Assist with building operations including opening, closing, and monitoring the facility
- Conduct regular facility rounds during events to remain accessible
- Implement emergency and safety procedures and serve as Building Emergency Coordinator when required
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to clients, guests, staff, and vendors
- Assist visitors with general information regarding HUC services and the University
- Document event-related issues and communicate them promptly
- Provide front desk coverage and answer phones
- Manage time effectively and complete assignments in compliance with all policies
- Perform other related duties to support event and facility operations
