Job Description
Encore is a leading global provider of event technology and production services, specializing in delivering innovative and high-quality audiovisual, lighting, and other technological solutions for meetings, conferences, and large-scale events. As a dynamic company rooted in the hospitality and event services sector, Encore is committed to providing exceptional customer experiences and creating memorable events by integrating cutting-edge technology with expert service delivery. With a presence in various locations and venues, including hotels and convention centers, Encore prides itself on a culture that values inclusivity, continuous improvement, and leadership development. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and encourages a collaborative environment that supports professional growth and recognizes unique individual strengths.
The Sr. Sales Manager, Venues role at Encore is designed for an experienced sales leader who will oversee the sales process for assigned group clients, aiming to maximize event and revenue capture. This position manages a Sales Manager and reports directly to a Sales Director or the Director of Event Technology. The primary objective of this role is to provide consultative sales leadership, create strategic solutions for high-end events, and foster strong relationships with both customers and hotel partners to ensure exceptional event outcomes. The Sr. Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, preparing compelling presentations, and collaborating across departments to deliver seamless event experiences.
In addition to sales responsibilities, this leadership role involves mentoring and coaching sales team members and supporting their success through training and guidance on complex event sales strategies. The Sr. Sales Manager is also expected to uphold Encore's core values—Deliver World-Class Service, Do The Right Thing, Drive Results, See The Big Picture, and Value People—integrating these principles into all aspects of their work. This role demands a strong ability to manage a healthy sales pipeline, contribute to sales forecasting and quota setting, and maintain accurate customer data within the CRM system.
The ideal candidate must have a BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, with at least two years of sales expertise, preferably in audiovisual, technology, or hospitality sectors. Technical aptitude and familiarity with CRM systems such as Oracle and CAD are highly valued. The role requires excellent communication and presentation skills, along with the aptitude to analyze financial data to support sales decisions. Working conditions involve spending considerable time sitting, standing, or walking, and occasionally lifting and carrying moderate weights. The work environment is predominantly in hotels and convention centers that may have varying noise levels and exposure to outdoor elements. The position requires flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to travel across multiple locations.
This position offers a salary range from $48,776 to $63,409, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Additional compensation may include bonuses or incentives. Encore is committed to providing employees and their families with excellent benefits and supports a welcoming, inclusive workplace culture where diversity is celebrated and every individual is valued. Join Encore to be part of a team that sets the standard for excellence in event technology sales and customer service.
