Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Encore or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual, technology or hospitality preferred
  • Knowledge of sales process and financial reporting
  • Technical aptitude and proficiency in CRM software
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work irregular hours
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role including extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Willingness to travel and work in multiple hotel locations
  • Commitment to uphold company core values and ethical standards

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Encore or equivalent
  • At least 2 years sales experience
  • Prior experience in audiovisual technology or hospitality preferred
  • Knowledge of sales processes and financial reporting
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency including CRM software
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Leadership and coaching experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours and in varied environments

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • Maximize revenue opportunity for assigned customers by creating effective strategies for per-event revenue growth including upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Create high-end, large event, advanced technology solutions for existing and potential customers
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that convey the value of the company and solve customer challenges
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning and venue meetings to support the customer event experience
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure CRM accuracy
  • Lead sales meetings, group presentations, budgeting and forecasting with hotel partners
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns
  • Provide direct leadership, training and coaching to sales team members
  • Participate in regional or national committees and facilitate sales team skill development
  • Maintain knowledge of new products, services and emerging event technology
