As an Event Security Officer at the Wilmington, NC Convention Center, you will be an essential part of BEST Crowd Management’s dedicated and professional team. This role involves maintaining a visible and professional presence that aligns with the standards of both the client and BEST Crowd Management. You will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, monitoring access points, conducting bag checks, performing entry screenings, and actively deterring unauthorized or suspicious activities to ensure the safety and security of everyone onsite. Your responsibilities extend to responding promptly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations, disturbances, or unauthorized entries. Collaboration is key in this role as you will work closely with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services to coordinate security measures and resolve issues that may arise. Additionally, delivering exceptional customer service is a priority, assisting attendees with inquiries, directions, and ensuring a welcoming environment.

Documentation and reporting play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of security. You will be expected to report any security-related occurrences or incidents to supervisors or appropriate authorities and maintain detailed records of activities. Upholding company policies, procedures, and guidelines is fundamental to your success in this position, maintaining professionalism and effectiveness throughout your duties. This role offers a $15 per hour pay rate and requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
