The role of Event Security Officer at BEST Crowd Management is a crucial position instrumental to the success of events held at high-profile venues such as the Shell Energy Stadium. This part-time role offers competitive pay starting at $15 per hour, with flexible scheduling options that often include evenings, weekends, and holidays to align with event schedules. As an Event Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all attendees, staff, and property throughout the event duration. Your day-to-day duties will involve maintaining a professional presence, enforcing access control measures such as bag checks and screenings, and monitoring event premises to deter unauthorized activity.

In addition to security enforcement, this position requires effective collaboration with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency responders to handle any incidents or emergencies calmly and efficiently. The role also demands excellent communication skills, as you'll be expected to interact with attendees, provide directions, and deliver exceptional customer service. In line with the company’s high standards, you will document and report incidents accurately while adhering strictly to company policies and procedures. To qualify, you must hold or be willing to obtain a valid Texas Private Security License Level 2 or higher and pass background and drug screenings. Job Requirements

  • be at least 18 years old
  • hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • possess previous experience in event security, law enforcement, or related field
  • have strong physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • demonstrate excellent observational and problem-solving skills
  • have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • work well in a team and collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds
  • maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • currently possess or be willing to obtain a valid Texas Private Security License Level 2 or higher
  • successfully pass a background check and drug screening

Job Duties

  • maintain a visible and professional presence to the standards of the client and BEST
  • patrol assigned areas to deter unauthorized activities and ensure safety

  • collaborate with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services to coordinate security
  • provide exceptional customer service by assisting attendees and answering questions
  • report security-related occurrences to supervisors or law enforcement
  • create and maintain documentation of relevant activities
  • uphold company policies and procedures to maintain professionalism and security effectiveness
