The role of Event Security Officer is crucial to the safety and security operations within major event venues including Toyota Arena, Stage Red Theater in Fontana, ONT-Field, and Ontario Convention Centers. This position is part-time and non-exempt, offering competitive compensation at $20.00 per hour. The Security Officer reports to the Security Department Manager and is responsible for maintaining continuous 24-hour security coverage during both daily operations and high-capacity events. Duties include conducting regular patrols, responding to safety and security incidents, providing excellent guest services, managing crowd flow, and overseeing access points for staff, vendors, performers, and VIPs.

Event Security Officers at Legends Global serve a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for patrons, employees, and assets. The role requires vigilance, professionalism, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure. Officers assist with emergency procedures, including evacuations and incident responses, demonstrating calm and clear communication skills. They also conduct security screenings such as bag checks and metal detection to ensure safety while maintaining positive guest interactions. The position demands adherence to departmental standards related to conduct, attendance, dress code, and ethical behavior, as well as thorough documentation of incidents through detailed reports.

Ideal candidates possess a minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent, hold a California-issued Guard Card, and have 0-2+ years of experience in sports and entertainment venue security preferred. The job requires the physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures. Flexibility to work approximately 80% of monthly events including evenings, weekends, holidays, particularly Friday through Sunday shifts, is essential. The position is dynamic with schedules that vary based on venue needs and event schedules.
