The Part-Time Event Security Guard position at ASM Global's Shreveport Convention Center offers an essential role in maintaining the safety and security of employees, guests, and property during various events. This role involves regular attendance in line with the company's policies and requires individuals who can provide attentive guest service alongside vigilant security. The security guard will be responsible for conducting foot and vehicle patrols to ensure compliance with safety procedures and respond efficiently to any incidents such as damage or injury. Duties include implementing and supporting emergency safety programs, issuing temporary parking permits, and facility ID badges when directed. The position demands flexibility to work extended or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, adapting to the schedule needs imposed by the events.

The physical requirements of the position include the ability to walk and climb stairs throughout the facility and grounds, sometimes in adverse weather conditions, and stand for prolonged periods. There is potential exposure to confrontational situations, requiring a level-headed and professional approach to conflict management. Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and physical capability, including the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. A valid Louisiana driver's license and the ability to pass a criminal background check are mandatory prerequisites.
