Job Description

Lucky Strike Entertainment, formerly known as Bowlero Corp, is a leading location-based entertainment company with over 360 locations throughout North America. The company is renowned for offering a diverse range of experiential entertainment options including bowling, amusements, water parks, and family entertainment centers. In addition to its widespread physical venues, Lucky Strike Entertainment also owns and operates the Professional Bowlers Association, which is recognized as the major league of bowling and has a large following with millions of fans globally. This blend of innovative entertainment formats and a strong brand presence makes Lucky Strike Entertainment a premier destination for fun, social gatherings, and corporate events.

The company values a culture of connection, professionalism, and excellence, which it demonstrates through policies like its camera-first approach during meetings to ensure presence and engagement. Employees are expected to represent the brand with professionalism and executive presence, dressing appropriately and maintaining a clean, professional environment during client interactions.

The role of Event Sales Specialist on the Core team is a dynamic and vital position at Lucky Strike Entertainment. This hybrid role based in Southern California involves managing the full sales cycle for various events, including corporate outings, social parties, and organizational gatherings ranging from 13 to 100 guests. The Event Sales Specialist is responsible for both handling inbound leads and actively building a pipeline through strategic outreach and relationship building within their local business territory. This means working with companies, community groups, and organizations to develop new accounts and foster long-term partnerships that encourage repeat business and loyalty.

A significant part of this role involves matching client groups to the right venue, package, and experience that fits their specific needs and budgets. The specialist must be adept at managing a high volume of diverse event types simultaneously without letting any detail fall through the cracks. Success in this role is measured through achieving quarterly sales quotas, with a compelling tiered commission structure to reward performance.

The Event Sales Specialist is also the key contact for the entire event experience, leading client meetings and partnering with venue operations teams to ensure seamless execution from contract signing to event celebration. Additionally, the role requires proactive retention efforts by following up with guests post-event to strengthen relationships and encourage repeat bookings.

Working evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary as these are peak times for events, highlighting the need for a dedicated professional who is flexible and responsive. Candidates with a background in sales, hospitality, or event planning — especially those with group or event sales experience — will find this role aligns well with their skills. Strong communication abilities, confidence in prospecting new business, and excellent organizational skills are critical success factors. Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and event management software further supports effective daily operations.

Overall, this role offers a dynamic career opportunity within a leading entertainment company that values growth, coaching, and delivering memorable event experiences. The position pays $28.85 per hour plus a 2% to 3% commission, complemented by a competitive total rewards package which includes healthcare coverage, retirement plans, wellness resources, and various employee perks. This role is ideal for sales-driven professionals looking to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where they can impact both client satisfaction and company growth.
