The Sales Manager, Venues plays a critical role within Encore by driving revenue growth and strengthening client relationships through strategic sales practices and exceptional service delivery. Responsible for guiding customers throughout their event journey, the Sales Manager leverages a consultative sales approach to understand customer needs and present tailored audiovisual solutions that achieve client objectives and deliver compelling event experiences. This position requires collaboration with hotel personnel and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution and ongoing opportunities. Reporting to senior sales leadership, the role demands proficiency in managing customer pipelines, preparing competitive proposals, and maintaining precise data in CRM systems. The position offers a salary range of $38,560 to $50,125, commensurate with qualifications and location, and incumbents may be eligible for additional compensation such as overtime, bonuses, or incentives. Through leveraging Encore's extensive network and resources, the Sales Manager, Venues is expected to achieve revenue targets while embodying Encore's core values of delivering world-class service, owning results, and doing the right thing at every stage of the customer experience. Working primarily in a hotel or convention center environment, the role involves irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may require travel to multiple sites. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one year of sales experience preferably in technology sales or hospitality
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual a plus
  • Proficiency with computer systems and CRM software
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in CRM
  • Willingness to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to travel to multiple hotel locations as required
  • Must meet physical requirements including prolonged sitting, standing, walking, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one year of sales experience preferably in technology sales or hospitality
  • Prior experience in audiovisual sales is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach utilizing Encore's sales process and methodology
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals to customers in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support the customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate profitability guidelines into solution designs
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and supporting Encore functions
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure accuracy and updates in the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) at all times
