Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or 1 plus years of relevant experience
  • familiarity with technology sales or hospitality industry
  • experience in audiovisual sales preferred
  • proficiency with computers and technical tools
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach utilizing Encore’s sales process and methodology
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals promptly to customers including those submitted through the venue booking system
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structures and incorporate profitability guidelines into solution designs
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore supporting departments to deliver world-class service
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
  • Keep all opportunities documented and updated in the Customer Relationship Management system
  • Support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • Learn and adopt all standard operating procedures and any new initiatives or programs
  • Maintain knowledge of new product and service offerings and emerging technologies in meetings and events
