Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year of relevant sales or hospitality experience
  • Technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Experience in audiovisual sales is advantageous
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes preferred
  • Proficient with technical tools and CRM software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to meet job demands
  • Willingness to travel to multiple hotel locations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Encore or related field
  • Technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
  • Effectively collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions of the company to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings to support the customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to established profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and supporting functions to deliver world-class service
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
  • Ensure all known opportunities are in CRM and updated at all times
  • Support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Learn and adopt all SOPs and new initiatives/programs
  • Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging technology supporting meetings and events
