The role of Sales Manager/Private Event Manager at Fogo de Chao is a vital position focused on growing sales through active prospecting and event management for groups of 15 or more in the assigned restaurant. This full-time role involves managing sales pipelines, maintaining customer relationships, and delivering impeccable event experiences. The manager will utilize CRM tools such as Tripleseat and Open Table for booking and reservation management, ensuring all event details are meticulously handled and client satisfaction is paramount.

The Sales Manager/Private Event Manager will collaborate closely with the General Manager and restaurant teams to strategize and execute local marketing activities, drive traffic, and create profitable bookings. This position requires exemplary communication skills in handling leads, negotiating contracts, and acting as a brand ambassador at networking and public events. The role demands presence on-site a minimum of five days a week and flexibility to participate in various marketing events and trainings. Key competencies sought include decisive judgment, resilience under pressure, persuasive selling ability, negotiation skills, strong presentation capabilities, and solid business acumen.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, along with over two years of sales or related experience, ideally within the restaurant or attraction industry. Proficiency in administrative tasks, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems like Tripleseat and Open Table is essential. Up to 10% travel is expected in this role.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Grow sales through active prospecting of targeted businesses, organizations, associations and event planning for groups of 15 or more in assigned restaurant
  • Enter all prospects, contacts, accounts and booking information in the CRM (Tripleseat) and enter basic reservation information in Open Table for booked parties greater than 15
  • Maintain weekly updates and details on current leads through Tripleseat and convert those leads to bookings, accounts, and contacts
  • Act as primary contact for all group clients, ensuring completion of event details and client satisfaction
  • Manage the booking process to obtain client signatures on CRM-generated contracts and event order forms to confirm bookings
  • Update documents and Operations with changes
  • Develop quarterly sales plans and solicit new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships in their restaurant
  • Full cycle sales management, including following proper accounting procedures
  • Understand and be able to speak to the business on a weekly basis and being able to forecast three months in advance
  • Attend and take part in all company-related trainings, including weekly, quarterly, and annual meetings
  • Strategize with the General Manager and restaurant to source, plan, and execute local store marketing activities
  • Create profitable bookings using the yield and other tools to make aligned business decisions
  • Drive overall traffic
  • Attend networking events and act as brand ambassador
  • Maintain company values of integrity, professionalism, and next-level service by communicating professionally and being punctual
  • Schedule and be present for all guest site tours and communicate with restaurant management
  • Host in-store marketing events
  • Work Live Chat 3-4 times a month
  • Be on-site at home restaurant minimum 5 days a week and able to work necessary hours
  • Other duties as assigned by GM, AD, and DOS
