Known for their innovative solutions and exceptional customer service, Encore supports a wide range of clients from corporate gatherings to large-scale conferences, delivering cutting-edge technology combined with expert technical support. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where employees are empowered to thrive and contribute to the ever-evolving landscape of event production. The Sales Manager, Venues, plays a pivotal role within Encore by driving business growth and maximizing event revenue through proactive engagement with clients. This full-time position, with an offered salary range of $60,151 to $70,000, reports to senior sales leadership such as Sr. Sales Manager, Sales Director, or Director, Event Technology. The role is based primarily in hotel and convention center environments and may require travel between multiple locations as well as working irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The Sales Manager, Venues, is focused on guiding customers through seamless event experiences, identifying tailored audiovisual and event technology solutions that meet clients’ goals and enhance their event outcomes. Utilizing Encore’s consultative sales approach and proprietary sales methodologies, the Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting and securing business through expert preparation of quotes and proposals and by maintaining a healthy sales pipeline. Close collaboration with vendors, internal departments, and hotel personnel is essential to ensure events are serviced effectively from start to finish. This position demands strong relationship management skills to cultivate enduring customer partnerships and a commitment to delivering world-class service. Attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate customer and opportunity data within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, supports effective sales forecasting and business planning. The Sales Manager must also stay current on emerging technologies and new service offerings within the event production sector to remain competitive and meet evolving customer needs. The role involves physical demands such as prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting or carrying of equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, conducted in environments that range from quiet to noisy and may involve exposure to outdoor elements, heights, and specialized technical equipment. Encore emphasizes a culture of integrity, accountability, collaboration, and inclusivity, aligning closely with their core values and corporate initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, prior sales experience in technology or hospitality industries, and a demonstrated passion for delivering exceptional client experiences in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
