The Sales Manager, Venues role at Encore is a key position responsible for overseeing the sales process related to event technology services in hotel venues and convention centers. This role primarily focuses on cultivating strong relationships with customers and hotel personnel to facilitate successful event outcomes that align with the stakeholders' objectives. The Sales Manager is tasked with proactively driving revenue growth by employing a consultative sales approach—identifying client needs, preparing detailed proposals, and collaborating closely with both internal teams and external vendors. Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant sales experience
  • Preferably hospitality or technology sales background
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must meet physical demands including ability to sit, stand, and walk for several hours
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • Technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach, utilizing Encore’s sales process and methodology
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
  • Collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions of the company to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings as necessary to support the customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to established profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and various Encore supporting functions and departments
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets and keep CRM up to date and accurate at all times
