The Sales Manager, Venues at Encore holds a pivotal role designed to drive revenue through proactive consultation and expert event guidance. This full-time position reports to senior sales leadership and carries a salary range from $38,558 to $50,125 annually, with final compensation reflecting individual qualifications and market factors. The Sales Manager is responsible for leading customers through event experiences by identifying tailored solutions aligned with their goals, resulting in compelling and memorable events. Key responsibilities include driving results through consultative selling, preparing and presenting timely quotes and proposals, collaborating across vendor and company departments, and attending site visits and planning meetings to support customers directly. A thorough understanding of event cost structures is required to design profitable solutions while maintaining high service standards. Relationship management is emphasized, including thorough research into customer history to personalize interactions and proactive guidance through the Encore network for additional revenue opportunities. Sales accountability is maintained by managing a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate CRM entries, supporting sales forecasting, and continuously learning and adapting to new initiatives and product offerings.
Physically, the role involves moderate activity including sitting, standing, walking for several hours daily, with occasional requirements for stooping, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The working environment consists mainly of hotels and convention centers, with exposure to various noise levels and outdoor conditions. The role may require irregular and on-call hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Consistent adherence to appearance guidelines reflective of the hotel or locality is expected.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in sales or hospitality
- Ability to prepare and present sales proposals
- Proficiency in customer relationship management software (CRM)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors
- Physical ability to perform moderate physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of experience with Encore or equivalent industry experience
- Preferred: 1 year of technology sales or hospitality experience
- Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
- Collaborate effectively with vendors and other departments or divisions of the company to capture and service events
- Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings to support the customer event experience
