The role of Sales Manager, Venues at Encore is a dynamic position focused on driving revenue growth by effectively guiding customers through tailored event experiences. This position is responsible for identifying solutions that meet clients' goals and objectives, creating compelling event outcomes that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. The Sales Manager will utilize all available tools and resources to maximize event and revenue capture from the assigned customer base, ensuring that proposals and event solutions are competitive, profitable, and aligned with company standards.
Reporting to senior sales leadership such as a Senior Sales Manager, Sales Director, or Director of Event Technology, the Sales Manager will actively collaborate with hotel personnel, internal departments, and external vendors to cultivate strong business relationships and support integrated event execution. Key responsibilities include preparing timely quotes and proposals, attending site visits and planning meetings, understanding event cost structures, and maintaining accurate customer data within the CRM system. The position requires a proactive, consultative sales approach aligned with Encore’s sales process and methodology, with a strong focus on building lasting customer partnerships and referral opportunities within the Encore network.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
- Technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- Familiarity with audiovisual sales preferred
- Knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
- Excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Encore or similar company
- Experience in technology sales or hospitality preferred
- Prior audiovisual sales experience a plus
- Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive revenue by soliciting and securing business through a consultative sales approach
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
- Attend site visits, pre-conference planning, and venue meetings
- Understand event cost structure and incorporate profitability guidelines
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore departments
- Maintain accurate and updated customer information in CRM
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
- Support sales forecasting efforts and submit timely reports
- Learn and adopt standard operating procedures and new initiatives
- Maintain knowledge of new products, service offerings, and emerging event technologies
