The role of Sales Manager, Venues at Encore focuses on driving revenue growth by managing customer relationships within assigned venues, primarily hotels and convention centers, and guiding clients through successful event planning and execution. Reporting to senior sales leadership, the Sales Manager will utilize Encore's proven sales methodologies and tools to maximize event bookings and profitability. Sales Managers will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of event technologies, hospitality industry trends, and the company’s product and service offerings. Job Requirements

  • BS or BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 or more years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • ability to work irregular hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to meet job demands including sitting standing walking and light lifting
  • willingness to travel to multiple hotel locations

Job Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach utilizing Encore's sales process and methodology
  • effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
  • collaborate with vendors and other departments to capture and service events
  • attend site visits pre-conference planning meetings and appropriate venue meetings as necessary
  • understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to established profitability guidelines
  • cultivate and maintain relationships with customers venue personnel and Encore supporting functions
  • thoroughly research and understand customer history and previous experiences to create personalized customer experiences
  • attend customer meetings understanding their goals and responding to their questions concerns and challenges
  • ensure all customer information is up to date and accurate in CRM at all times
  • maintain a healthy pipeline to ensure achievement of revenue targets
  • support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • learn and adopt SOPs related to the role and new initiatives
  • maintain knowledge of new product and service offerings and emerging technology supporting meetings and events
