Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year of relevant sales experience
  • Proficiency with sales and CRM software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in hotel and convention center environments
  • Availability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to meet job demands such as sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and carrying

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Encore or equivalent sales experience
  • Experience in technology sales or hospitality preferred
  • Prior audiovisual sales experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate it into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore teams
  • Maintain accurate customer information in the CRM system at all times
