The Sales Manager, Venues at Encore plays a crucial role in driving business growth by guiding customers through seamless event experiences and identifying solutions that align with their objectives. This position involves leveraging all available tools to maximize event and revenue capture within an assigned customer portfolio. The Sales Manager will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key hotel personnel to enhance the overall business collaboration. Responsibilities include preparing and presenting timely quotes and proposals, collaborating effectively with vendors and internal teams, and attending site visits and planning meetings to support client events. Mastery of Encore's sales process and methodology is essential to proactively solicit and secure business, ensuring that revenue targets are consistently met.

This full-time role operates within the hotel and convention center environment, requiring occasional irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Sales Manager must be adept at using customer relationship management systems to keep information accurate and up to date, while also driving referrals within the Encore network to capitalize on additional sales opportunities. Knowledge of event cost structures and profitability guidelines is vital to design sustainable solutions. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year of relevant sales or hospitality experience
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency with customer relationship management software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Capacity to attend site visits and meetings
  • Physical ability to meet job demands including sitting, standing, walking, and light lifting
  • Commitment to company core values and ethical standards

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience with Encore or similar company
  • Preferred experience in technology sales or hospitality
  • Prior audiovisual sales experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive sales results by proactively soliciting and securing business using Encore’s sales methodology
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals promptly to customers
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors and internal departments to service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning, and venue meetings to support customer events
  • Understand event cost structures and design profitable solutions
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and venue personnel
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in CRM
  • Manage a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets
  • Support sales forecasting and ensure accuracy
  • Learn and apply standard operating procedures and new initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of new product, service offerings, and emerging event technologies
