Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- at least 1 year of sales experience preferably in technology or hospitality
- ability to prepare detailed sales quotes and proposals
- capacity to collaborate across departments and with vendors
- strong organizational and communication skills
- proficiency with Customer Relationship Management systems
- ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate sales pipeline
- availability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to perform job duties including sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience in Encore or equivalent sales roles
- technology sales experience preferred
- hospitality experience preferred
- prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- technical aptitude and computer proficiency
- strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach utilizing Encore's sales process and methodology
- prepare and present quotes and proposals to customers in a timely manner
- collaborate effectively with vendors and other departments to capture and service events
- attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and necessary venue meetings to support customer event experience
- understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
- cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore supporting functions
- maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
- ensure all known sales opportunities are accurately entered and updated in the Customer Relationship Management system
- support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- learn and adopt all Standard Operating Procedures and new initiatives
- maintain knowledge of new product and service offerings and emerging technology supporting meetings and events
