Job Requirements
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of sales experience preferably in audiovisual, technology sales, or hospitality
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to attend site visits and customer meetings
- Flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience preferably in audiovisual, technology sales or hospitality
- Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Demonstrated accountability and ownership
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach utilizing Encore's sales process and methodology
- Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
- Collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions of the company to capture and service events
- Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings to support customer event experience
- Understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to established profitability guidelines
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel and Encore supporting functions
- Maintain a healthy pipeline to ensure achievement of established revenue targets
- Ensure all known opportunities are in CRM and updated at all times
- Support sales forecasting efforts at home location and ensure accuracy and timely submission
- Learn and adopt SOPs and new initiatives/programs
- Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging technology supporting meetings and events
