Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year of sales experience preferably in audiovisual, technology sales, or hospitality
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to attend site visits and customer meetings
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience preferably in audiovisual, technology sales or hospitality
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Demonstrated accountability and ownership

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach utilizing Encore's sales process and methodology
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
  • Collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions of the company to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to established profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel and Encore supporting functions
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline to ensure achievement of established revenue targets
  • Ensure all known opportunities are in CRM and updated at all times
  • Support sales forecasting efforts at home location and ensure accuracy and timely submission
  • Learn and adopt SOPs and new initiatives/programs
  • Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging technology supporting meetings and events
