Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum one year relevant sales or hospitality experience
- Ability to prepare and present sales proposals
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales forecasting
- Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to perform job duties including sitting, standing, walking, lifting and carrying moderate weights
- Commitment to adhering to company core values and standards
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- One or more years of Encore or equivalent experience
- Technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- Prior sales experience in audiovisual a plus
- Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Solicit and secure business through a proactive consultative sales approach utilizing Encore sales process and methodology
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals timely to customers including those submitted through encoreglobal.com and venue booking system
- Collaborate effectively with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
- Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
- Understand event cost structure and incorporate into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore departments to deliver world-class service
- Maintain accurate customer information and sales data in the Customer Relationship Management system
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
- Support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Learn and adopt all standard operating procedures and new initiatives
- Maintain knowledge of new product and service offerings and emerging event technology
