The Sales Manager, Venues role at Encore is a pivotal position responsible for driving revenue and enhancing customer experience within assigned venue locations. This role involves utilizing a consultative sales approach to guide customers through the event planning process, ensuring solutions meet their objectives while maximizing event and revenue potential. The Sales Manager collaborates closely with venue personnel, internal departments, and external vendors to deliver flawless event execution. Key responsibilities include preparing and presenting quotes and proposals, managing opportunities within the Customer Relationship Management system, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets. The Sales Manager also attends site visits and pre-event meetings to support customer engagement and event success. Relationship building is crucial; maintaining connections with customers and venue staff ensures a high level of service and fosters repeated business opportunities. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum one year relevant sales or hospitality experience
  • Ability to prepare and present sales proposals
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales forecasting
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physical ability to perform job duties including sitting, standing, walking, lifting and carrying moderate weights

Job Qualifications

  • One or more years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • Technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual a plus

Job Duties

  • Solicit and secure business through a proactive consultative sales approach utilizing Encore sales process and methodology
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals timely to customers including those submitted through encoreglobal.com and venue booking system
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore departments to deliver world-class service
  • Maintain accurate customer information and sales data in the Customer Relationship Management system
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
  • Support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • Learn and adopt all standard operating procedures and new initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of new product and service offerings and emerging event technology
