Located in a prime area, Limelight Hawaii combines modern facilities with a dedicated professional team to serve a diverse clientele ranging from corporate clients to social and entertainment markets. The venue boasts versatile event spaces equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual technology and culinary excellence to accommodate everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale concerts and performances. As a full-time employer, Limelight offers a competitive salary package, including $60,000 annually for the Event Sales Manager role, emphasizing growth and career development within the hospitality and event management sectors.
The Event Sales Manager at Limelight Hawaii plays a crucial role in driving the venue's revenue growth by proactively selling banquet and catering events as well as managing ticketed concerts. This position requires a dynamic individual who is adept at client acquisition, relationship building, and operational coordination to ensure flawless execution of events that exceed client expectations. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Event Sales Manager serves as the pivotal link between clients and the internal teams such as Operations, Culinary, and AV production, ensuring each event is meticulously planned and executed. This role demands a keen understanding of venue capabilities, adept negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining high standards of service and profitability.
In this role, the Event Sales Manager is expected to proactively identify new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and fostering partnerships with corporate, social, and entertainment clients. Developing custom event proposals that include creative upsells for food, beverages, audiovisual services, décor, and VIP experiences is a key responsibility to maximize revenue streams. The Manager will also conduct engaging venue tours for prospects, showcasing all the technical features and flexible spaces Limelight Hawaii offers.
The Event Sales Manager coordinates meticulously with the Culinary and AV teams to finalize menus and technical setups, ensuring all dietary and production needs are met. From preparing detailed Banquet Event Orders to overseeing onsite event execution, this role guarantees that events run smoothly, on time, and conform to quality and safety standards. Financial responsibilities include achieving or surpassing sales targets, preparing accurate contracts and billing, and monitoring profitability to recommend margin improvement strategies.
Collaboration with the marketing department is essential to promote Limelight’s banquet and concert services effectively. The Manager also participates in industry trade shows and networking events to enhance the venue's market presence and keeps abreast of competitive trends and pricing strategies. This comprehensive event sales role requires a professional who is client-focused, revenue-driven, a collaborative leader, a creative problem solver, and detail-oriented, ensuring the best possible event experience for every client.
