Job Requirements

  • bs/ba degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 1 year of relevant sales experience
  • proficiency in technology and computer systems
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to maintain accurate records in CRM
  • willingness to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to meet demands such as sitting for up to 5 hours, standing and walking for 2-3 hours, occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
  • ability to travel between multiple hotel or venue locations

Job Qualifications

  • bs/ba or equivalent experience
  • minimum 1 year of Encore or related industry experience
  • technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior audiovisual sales experience is a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach
  • effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
  • collaborate with vendors and other departments to capture and service events
  • attend site visits, pre-conference planning, and venue meetings to support customer events
  • understand event cost structure and design solutions per profitability guidelines
  • cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and internal teams
  • thoroughly research customer history to personalize experiences
  • attend customer meetings to understand goals and respond to inquiries
  • ensure accurate and up-to-date customer information in CRM
  • refer and guide customers through the Encore network to secure additional opportunities
  • maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet revenue targets
  • update all known opportunities in CRM accurately and timely
  • support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy
  • learn and adopt new SOPs and company initiatives
  • maintain knowledge of new products, services, and emerging technologies related to meetings and events
