We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Sales Manager to join our dynamic Food & Beverage team. This full-time role is pivotal in developing and sourcing property banquet business, managing event scheduling, and ensuring seamless coordination of all banquet functions. The Banquet Sales Manager will play a central role in contract management, payment collections, and maintaining comprehensive sales reports, all while collaborating closely with culinary and service teams to create innovative menus, competitive pricing strategies, and effective promotional packages. This role demands not only leadership and organizational skills but also a passion for customer satisfaction and team development. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising banquet operations from set-up to break down, managing inventory and equipment, and ensuring that each event runs smoothly and successfully. Job Requirements

  • Four years food & beverage experience in banquet sales
  • Proven sales records
  • Strong wedding sales experience
  • Two years prior supervisory experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Develops sources for property banquet business for corporate, social, private markets, special events, and other available function opportunities such as weddings
  • Organize and maintain the scheduling and maintenance of available function space
  • Develops contact lists for repeat business
  • Responsible for contracts, deposits, guarantees and collection of payments for all functions
  • Weekly reports a summary of sales, contacts, sales calls and bookings
  • Meets with designated Food & Beverage staff to review menu planning, pricing, set-up structure, staffing, and all other related requirements
  • Assists with the development of menus, packages and promotions
  • Direct supervision of all banquet functions
  • Responsible for front of house set-up, skirting, table tops, beverage service, customer service, customer satisfaction checks, function break down, closing out check, ensure equitable dissemination of gratuity
  • Responsible for front of house linen, equipment maintenance and inventory
  • Responsible for staffing for all functions
  • Maintain communication with all internal departments
  • Responsible to maintain community involvement with local social organizations and attend relevant trade shows to enhance quality and service development on the property
  • Promotes outstanding internal and external guest relations
  • Promotes honesty and trust among the team
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
