Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum three years of sales-related experience
  • Facility or industry experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • High aptitude for figures
  • Advanced writing skills
  • Professional presentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word

Job Qualifications

  • Willingness to work long and irregular hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to travel as needed

Job Duties

  • Use sales and marketing principles to promote the facility and maximize revenue potential
  • Send client pre-event information and follow-up communications
  • Manage contracts and budgets including drafting agreements, negotiating rates, preparing payment schedules, and collections
  • Develop long-term sales strategies to increase convention services and profits
  • Collaborate with Destination Marketing Organization and hospitality partners to analyze economic impact of events
  • Conduct familiarization tours, site visits and presentations for clients and trade professionals
  • Maintain relationships with service providers, decorators, and vendors
  • Work with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution
  • Develop and deliver on sales goals and metrics
  • Coordinate with Food and Beverage team to boost banquet and catering business
  • Act as Manager on Duty on a rotating schedule
  • Work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
