Job Description

Topgolf is a leading sports entertainment company revolutionizing the way millions of people experience golf. Known for its dynamic venues that seamlessly blend golf, food and beverage, events, and entertainment into one electrifying guest experience, Topgolf provides not only a fun outing but also a serious career path for talented professionals. As a high-energy and high-volume environment, Topgolf venues prioritize performance and visible results, making them vibrant hubs of activity where staff and guests alike thrive. With a commitment to innovation in entertainment, events, and hospitality, Topgolf holds a significant presence in the sports entertainment industry, continuously expanding its reach and influence. The company prides itself on creating a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment that brings people together through a shared passion for golf and exceptional service.

In this capacity, Topgolf is seeking an Event Sales Director who will play a crucial role in driving venue revenue and elevating sales execution. The role involves managing a high-volume book of business and supporting essential sales routines while leading and developing a dedicated sales team. The Event Sales Director will be responsible for owning the full sales cycle—from the initial call to the signing of contracts—while ensuring every detail is attended to and the guest experience remains superb. This position requires a strategic, results-driven individual who thrives on balancing personal selling activities with leadership responsibilities and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will be proactive in growing client accounts, adept at identifying upselling opportunities, and focused on delivering repeat business that contributes to predictable revenue growth.

The role is based in a fast-paced, guest-facing venue that demands flexibility, including availability during evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak event seasons. The Event Sales Director will facilitate seamless event execution by managing event details, payments, and operational logistics, while regularly reviewing performance metrics and pipeline reports to maintain strong forecasting and decision-making capabilities. A key part of this position is coaching and guiding the venue’s sales team to optimize workflow, accountability, and sales efficiency. The Event Sales Director will also maintain close alignment with the General Manager and other departments, ensuring communication is transparent and solutions-oriented to address challenges promptly.

Success in this role depends on several core competencies, including the ability to drive results under pressure, develop strategic sales plans that leverage market knowledge, prioritize customer focus and guest experience, maintain accountability for team and individual commitments, and build strong, effective sales teams that foster continuous improvement and ownership. This position offers a compelling opportunity for those who are passionate about sales leadership within the hospitality and entertainment industry and interested in making a significant impact through client relationship management, team development, and operational excellence.
