The Event Sales Director position at Gainey Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ, is a pivotal leadership role within Invited’s hospitality portfolio. This role entails strategic oversight and direct management of all facets of event sales operations at the club, focusing on maximizing event revenue while delivering exceptional experiences for members and guests. The Event Sales Director is charged with spearheading the event sales team, driving performance to meet or exceed annual sales goals through innovative and tailored event selling strategies. Reporting to senior leadership including the General Manager and collaborating closely with the Executive Chef, the position requires designing competitive event packages that marry client satisfaction with operational efficiency and profitability. In addition to hands-on sales activities, the director is responsible for analyzing market trends and competitor activities to refine the club’s sales strategies, maintaining a competitive edge in a dynamic market. Engagement with clients includes cultivating lasting relationships, personally advising on event planning, and ensuring a seamless consultation process that meets diverse client needs. Leadership responsibilities involve guiding and mentoring the sales team, fostering a culture of high achievement and continuous professional growth. The role requires meticulous financial oversight to monitor budgeting and expenditures related to events, ensuring all activities comply with the club’s financial and operational standards. Proficiency in sales management tools like Cater Pro and Power BI is essential for tracking performance and managing event data effectively. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, minimum 10 years experience in commissioned sales within hospitality or events industry, proven sales performance, college coursework in hospitality or marketing preferred, experience establishing marketing and prospecting programs, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software, strong mentorship ability, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent, minimum of 10 years experience in commissioned sales within hospitality or events, proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, college coursework in hospitality or marketing preferred, experience in establishing marketing and prospecting programs, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software, strong mentorship and communication skills, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Job Duties

  • Execute sales plans to maximize event sales revenue, lead the event sales team to achieve sales targets, analyze market trends and competitor offerings, cultivate relationships with key clients and prospects, oversee the client consultation process, obtain client feedback and implement service improvements, provide guidance and mentorship to the sales team, ensure accurate tracking of event activities and expenses, collaborate with Executive Chef and General Manager on event offerings, utilize sales management tools and software
