The role of Event Sales Coordinator at Hyatt Regency Sacramento focuses on servicing events while supporting the events team under the guidance of Event Sales Managers. This hourly position, offering a competitive wage of $26.71 per hour, plays a critical role in handling banquet food, beverage, and event setup logistics. Duties also include menu planning, agenda setting, coordinating hotel meeting services, managing hospitality amenities, and responding to special VIP requests. The coordinator is responsible for contract review and ensuring effective communication among all relevant hotel departments before, during, and after events to deliver seamless service.

Additionally, the Event Sales Coordinator assists with hosting site inspections, takes part in event meetings, and may lead staff meetings to ensure everyone is aligned on execution plans. Supporting Event Planning Managers with tasks such as updating group resumes, processing reservation changes, and managing World of Hyatt points is also a key component of the job. This role requires a dynamic, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is passionate about exceeding customer expectations.

Job Requirements

  • Four-year hospitality degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 18 months hotel experience preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • proficiency in computer knowledge

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Service events and support the events team
  • work closely with Event Sales Managers in contract negotiations and servicing accounts
  • manage banquet food, beverage, and setup including menu planning and agenda setting
  • coordinate hotel meeting services, hospitality amenities, and special VIP requests
  • review contracts and facilitate communication before, during, and post-event with hotel staff
  • assist in hosting site inspections and participate or lead event and staff meetings
  • support Event Planning Managers by updating group resumes, handling reservation changes, and processing World of Hyatt points
