Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in event coordination or hospitality preferred
  • ability to sit and stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • ability to handle paper and work at a computer
  • excellent organizational skills
  • attention to detail
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications
  • university or college degree in a related discipline preferred
  • excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • highly responsible and reliable
  • ability to focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous

Job Duties

  • manage client requests independently or as directed by Events Managers or Directors
  • produce, distribute, and maintain client contracts, amenity requests, VIP cards, turnover documents, BEOs, resumes, and internal reports
  • perform general office processes including photocopying, mailing departmental correspondence, checking mailboxes, and maintaining notice boards
  • initiate event booking processes by creating accounts and bookings, establishing departmental files, and notifying departments
  • assist with office equipment operation such as printers, copiers, and telephones
  • create and receive purchase orders
  • update and maintain the Events Calendar and Lead Tracker
  • create and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • order necessary event services including flowers and décor
  • participate in monthly departmental meetings
  • fulfill other reasonable requests by leadership or executive teams
