Job Description

The Green Bay Packers is a renowned professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This historic franchise has a rich legacy in the National Football League (NFL), known not only for its impressive accomplishments on the field but also for its deep community roots and unique ownership structure as a publicly owned, non-profit corporation. The Green Bay Packers organization operates several venues including the iconic Lambeau Field, one of the most famous stadiums in the sport, as well as the Titletown District, a dynamic hub for hospitality, entertainment, and community events.

The Packers are more than just a football team; they are a pivotal part of the Green Bay community and a major employer in the region. Their focus extends beyond the gridiron to include a wide range of events and hospitality services that attract visitors and fans year-round. This commitment has created a thriving events department dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences inside and surrounding Lambeau Field and the Titletown area.

The current role available is a key position supporting the Green Bay Packers Events Department. This role focuses on driving revenue by generating new business, planning, and executing various events, and providing outstanding client service. Candidates will be responsible for managing event logistics, using event software, and supporting a range of event types, including but not limited to NFL Draft events, college football games, concerts, and other large-scale gatherings. Flexibility is essential as the role requires availability on some nights, holidays, weekends, and game days, reflecting the dynamic nature of the sports and event industry.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in event planning, sales, and marketing, coupled with superior organizational skills and the ability to develop strategic initiatives that help grow the business. Responsibilities include managing complex logistical details, coordinating gameday activations particularly within the Johnsonville Tailgate Village, and performing outbound sales activities to sustain and expand the scope of the events department. Building and maintaining strong relationships within the community and with clients is crucial to this role, alongside presenting and tailoring event packages to prospective customers, ensuring their needs, preferences, and budgets are appropriately met.

The role also involves administrative duties such as preparing contracts, billing, maintaining accurate reservation records through software like Momentus, and providing tours of the event spaces to potential buyers. Collaboration is key, requiring interaction with the event sales team and other internal departments to ensure seamless event execution and to advocate for business units within the atrium during sales negotiations. The position concludes with representing the organization at trade shows and community events, enhancing the Green Bay Packers brand visibility and engagement within the wider community.

The Green Bay Packers offer an environment that values strong communication, adaptability, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving. This position does not supervise but reports directly to the Event Sales & Service Manager. There is minimal travel required. Applicants should be prepared for a physically engaging role that demands standing, walking, and occasional lifting within a professional office setting. This opportunity is ideal for experienced professionals looking to join a prestigious and community-centered organization with a passion for sports and events.
