Job Description
Encore is a leading global provider of event technology, offering comprehensive services that include rigging, audio, video, and staging solutions for live events across a variety of industries. With expertise working in venues such as hotels, convention centers, and entertainment venues, Encore is committed to delivering world-class service, safety, and innovation in all its operations. The company prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture, where every employee is valued and supported. As a recognized leader in event production technology, Encore emphasizes employee development, safety compliance, and operational excellence. Their employees enjoy a competitive salary and a broad selection of benefits to support their professional and personal lives.
The Rigging Manager role within Encore is a vital leadership position focused on managing and safely executing rigging operations at Encore-approved venues. This position entails approving all rigging designs based on structural data and weight load limits, whether for internal productions or external client projects. The Rigging Manager supervises and schedules labor, coordinates equipment and personnel for load-ins and load-outs, and ensures strict adherence to rigging safety standards and company procedures. As the key authority on rigging at the site, this role includes responsibilities such as staff training and development, safety inspections, load calculations, and regulatory compliance. The role reports directly to the Area Manager of Rigging and makes critical decisions to maintain the highest quality and safety standards during event setup and operation. This position pays between $64,506 and $83,858 annually, with potential eligibility for overtime, bonuses, or other incentives.
The Rigging Manager works primarily within hotel and convention center environments, where conditions range from moderately quiet to noisy, and may involve exposure to outdoor elements such as dust or sand. The work requires use of audio-visual and electrical equipment and often involves heights accessed via lifts and ladders. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to meet significant physical requirements including lifting and carrying heavy loads, climbing, bending, and exertion. Work schedules may include irregular hours, on-call status, weekends, holidays, and travel up to 50 percent. This versatile role requires strong leadership, advanced rigging knowledge, proficiency in relevant software such as CAD and Microsoft Office, and excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients and internal teams. Encore supports these efforts through ongoing training, career development, and stringent safety management. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced rigging professional who aspires to lead teams and ensure superior rigging operations in a dynamic event production environment.
