Job Description
Centric Events is a leading event production and rental company based in Phoenix, Arizona, renowned for its dedication to delivering exceptional corporate events and live event experiences. With a specialization in audiovisual (AV) production, lighting, staging, and event logistics, Centric Events has established itself as one of Arizona's highest-rated providers in its industry. The company thrives on a mission to develop and empower a team of next-level professionals who flawlessly plan, prepare, and execute events that not only impress their clients but also foster lasting partnerships and repeated business opportunities. The company culture is deeply rooted in principles such as ownership, teamwork, adaptability, and hands-on involvement, which ensures its employees have ample opportunities for personal and professional growth.
The opportunity available at Centric Events is for a full-time Event Project Coordinator role located in Phoenix, AZ, offering competitive pay based on experience. This position is vital for supporting the planning and execution phases of live events and AV productions and is tailored for candidates who have hands-on experience in the live event or audiovisual production industry. Unlike generic office coordinators or wedding planners, this role demands an individual who truly understands production workflows, event logistics, timelines, gear coordination, and the fast-paced nature of live event environments.
In their role, the Event Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with various departments, including Project Management, Sales, Warehouse, Scheduling, and Field teams. Their main responsibility is to ensure that live event projects are meticulously organized, communicated effectively, and executed successfully from the initial planning stage right through to the strike phase—the disassembly and teardown after the event’s conclusion. This role is also designed to be very hands-on, requiring the coordinator to engage directly with many aspects of an event’s operational needs, ensuring smooth logistics and the seamless flow of production.
Candidates for this role should possess a production-minded approach, rooted in strong familiarity with live event workflows, production timelines, and AV equipment handling. The ideal coordinator is highly organized, capable of anticipating potential issues, and solution-oriented to maintain calm and effectiveness under pressure. Strong communication skills are paramount, as this role involves consistent professional interaction with clients, vendors, technicians, and internal stakeholders. Relationship-building capabilities are essential, indicating that the coordinator will be instrumental in fostering trust and collaboration across teams and clients alike.
Additional responsibilities include detailed event coordination, reviewing event orders for accuracy, managing production schedules and staffing needs, and overseeing logistics from load-in to load-out. The coordinator also facilitates communication among different departments, supports onsite event execution including setup and strike, troubleshoots unforeseen issues promptly, and contributes to post-event review and documentation. This role offers significant growth potential within Centric Events, especially for candidates eager to advance into broader project management roles within the live event and AV production industry.
Overall, this position is an excellent match for candidates with at least 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in live events, AV production, technical production, or related fields looking for a dynamic and engaging environment in which to grow their career. Centric Events supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package including partial medical insurance coverage, life insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, paid time off and holidays, equipment usage benefits, and clear opportunities for advancement. This role is not only a job but a career stepping stone in the fast-evolving world of live event production and execution.
